Title of Agenda Item: Public Hearing: Charterwood, 1641 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. - Zoning Atlas Amendment and Special Use Permit Applications.  (R-4)

Council Goal: Focus on Economic Development, Land Use, and Transportation for a Balanced and Sustainable Future

Background: Tonight's Public Hearing involves an application to rezone approximately 6.5 acres of a 14.3 acre property and an application for a Special Use Permit to construct a mixed-use development.  The site is currently zoned Residential-2 (R-2) and a portion of the property is proposed to be rezoned to Mixed Use-Village (MU-V).  The site is located at 1641 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just south of Weaver Dairy Road and is identified as Orange County Parcel Identifier Numbers 9880-24-4842 and 9880-24-6787.

Fiscal Note: No fiscal impact has been determined at this time.

Recommendations: That the Council adopt the Resolution remanding the applications to the review process.
