A public hearing has been scheduled tonight for the Council to consider a request to rezone a 9.1-acre site at 602 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. from the existing Residential-4 (R-4) and Office/Institutional-1 (OI-1) to Residential-Special Standards-Conditional (R-SS-C) zoning district. Accompanying the rezoning request is a Special Use Permit application, which proposes to construct a 4 - 6-story apartment building with 194 dwelling units, and parking for 216 vehicles.
